Ron Thomason is a great performer. He is the lead vocalist and mandolin player in a band called the "Dry Branch Fire Squad." Periodically, Ron writes in a blog-like way on a Web page he calls "Installments." And he is, in my humble opinion, a very, very good writer -- incisive and analytic but always eloquent.
